Dr. John R Anderson, 75, of Mexico, died Aug. 9, 2000 at Birchwood Health Care Center, Liverpool. Born in Mexico, he was a graduate of Mexico Academy, Niagara University, University of Rochester and Albany Medical College. Dr. Anderson had his own practice in Mexico from 1952 to 1985. He was a member of St. Mary's Star of the Sea Catholic Church, Mexico, Stone Davis American Legion Post 384 Mexico; Edick-Hamlink Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 369, Mexico; American and Oswego County medical associations; and the Elks Lodge. Dr. Anderson was a Navy lieutenant in the Korean War. His wife, Roberta M., died in 1998. Surviving are a daughter, Mary Mowry of Mexico; six sons, J. Mark , John M. , James F. , Thomas , Jerome and Paul. Services were held in St Mary's Star of the Sea Catholic Church. Burial was in Mexico Village Cemetery.
