Eric Sigfried Romlin was born 13 May 1886 in Horndal, Avesta kommun, Dalarnas län, Sweden to Erick A. Romlin (1858-1953) and Marie Sophia Romlin (1856-1928). Their family immigrated to the U.S. in 1888. Eric was first married to Beda Christina Hallstrom (1894-1989) on 28 April 1914 in Grantsburg, Wisconsin. They had two daughters. They were divorced within a couple of years. Eric was then married to Josephine "Josie" Borup (1890-1939) on 13 November 1917 in Chisago County, Minnesota. They had one son, Merton Romlin (1918-1919), who died at the age of 16 months. Eric was a dairy farmer in Polk & Burnett counties, Wisconsin for many years. His wife Josie died from cancer in 1939. Two years after Josie died, he married again, to the widow Emma M. Wickstrom Dahlin (1886-1970) on 31 May 1941 in Chisago County, MN. Eric died on 22 May 1955 in Polk County, WI at the age of 69. He was interred next to his second wife at Laketown Cemetery.
