Humphries, Helen R., 90, passed away Monday, August 20, 2012. The funeral service will be at 2:00 P.M., Friday, August 24 at Downing & Lahey Mortuary East. Helen was born on April 28, 1922, in LeGrand, Iowa to Arlena and Wilbur Kellogg, the youngest of three children. She attended schools in LeGrand and Tama, Iowa. Helen followed her love to Wichita, KS, where she and Ralph D. Humphries married in April 1942, and until his death in 2004, had celebrated 62 years of marriage. They raised four children: Linda, Roger, Allan and Mark. Helen was a dedicated homemaker and enjoyed traveling which always included visiting with relatives. She and Ralph enjoyed keeping a genealogy chart current. She was an active member of Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church. Helen was preceded in death by her parents; siblings in Iowa, Darwin Kellogg and Betty Wilson Friedrich; and a son, Roger Duane Humphries. great-grandchildren. Memorials to: Mt.
