She was born January 19, 1919 in Jackson Co., KY, to Walter and Mary Alma Murphy Isaacs. On February 12, 1943 she was married at the Wesleyan Methodist Church in Hart, Michigan to William Howard Creed. They moved to the Connersville area in 1944 where they lived until 2003. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Connersville. Remembered for making wonderful vegetable soup, she also enjoyed quilting, cooking in general, and spending time in her garden.
Survivors include her two daughters and sons-in-law: Sharon and Karl Kinder of Richmond; Winona and C.W. "Lou" Byer of New Palestine; three grandchildren: Benjamin Kinder of Indianapolis, Heather E. Buck and her husband Matt of New Palestine, Anna Bewsey and her husband Tony of Indianapolis; three great-grandchildren: Savana Kinder, Andrew Buck, and Brett Buck; several nieces and nephews; special family friend: Cari Rinehart of Richmond.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, who died February 7th, 2005; five sisters and two brothers.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, Connersville, with Pastor Randal Collins of Connersville Baptist Temple officiating. Interment will follow in Dale Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.
