Emily Davis Clark of Ocean Isle Beach passed away on Thursday, January 17, 2013 at Brunswick Novant Medical Center, Supply N.C. She was born in Bladenboro, NC July 21, 1928 to the late William and Jimmy Christine (Allen) Davis. She was one of seven children. Emily was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years William A. Clark Jr.
She is survived by son William B. Clark (Charla) of Sugar Land, Texas; grandson William Brent Clark II, granddaughter Courtney Paterson and great granddaughter Abriana; daughter Haven C. Shelton (Rick) of Marion, Ohio; grandsons Heath Shelton of Milwaukee, WI and Garrick Shelton (Maggie) of Wichita KS; great-granddaughters Emma, Kayla, Kera ; daughter Sally L. Biby (Jim) of Beaumont, CA; grandson Cory Brollier (Denise) of Santa Clarita, CA; great-grandson Login, great granddaughter Kennedy; granddaughter Amanda Sparacello of Redlands, CA; great-grandsons Joseph, Jimmy, and Justin.
She was preceded in passing by daughter in-law Molly Clark and grandson Bobby Rey.
Emily left Bladenboro in 1945 to work for the FBI during WWII where she met her Navy husband, Bill. Mrs. Clark and her husband lived in Columbus, Ohio. Over the years she worked in accounting departments for retailers; The Fashion, The Union in Columbus, Ohio and Montgomery Wards, Marion, Ohio. Emily and Bill retired in 1984 and moved to Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina. Emily and Bill were founding members of both Village Park Methodist Church in Columbus, Ohio and Seaside United Methodist Church in Ocean Isle Beach.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday January 22,2013 at 1:00 PM. at the Seaside Methodist Church, 1300 Seaside Road S.W. Ocean Isle Beach, followed by burial at Oleander Cemetery, Wilmington, N.C.
