Dearly loved mother of 9 children. She was orphaned when her mother died in 1921. The family put Lena and her siblings in Falcon Children's Home in Falcon, NC.
The Boroughs family were involved in the operation of the orphanage, and as a result, Lena met Paul Bryan Boroughs, and they eloped.
