CASTLEWOOD, Va. Richard "Rick" Kasefang, 60, died Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013, at Holston Valley Medical Center, Kingsport, Tenn. He was born in Bristol, Tenn.; son of the late James G. and Brigitte Helmer Kasefang. He retired from Verizon Phone Company after 31 years of service. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 3305 for 39 years, a member of the Castlewood Masonic Lodge No. 231 A.F. & A.M. for 39 years, a member of the Scottish Rite for 38 years, a member of Kazim Shrine Temple for 38 years, he helped couch Little League baseball and Peanut League, and was on the state election board of Fraternal Order of Eagles. He is survived by his wife, Betty Kasefang; one sister, Donna Doyle and husband, Kevin, of Elkton, Va.; one brother, Jake Kasefang of Castlewood; all his special friends; and several nieces and nephews. A gathering of remembrance service for Richard "Rick" Kasefang will be conducted at 8 p.m., Monday, Jan. 21, 2012, in Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel, Castlewood, with the Rev. Ted Phillips officiating. A Masonic memorial service by the Castlewood Masonic Lodge No. 231 A.F. & A.M. and fraternal rites by the Order of Eagles No. 3305 will be held prior to the service Monday. A committal service and inurnment will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013, in Temple Hill Memorial Park, Castlewood. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, Jan. 21, 2013, in Castlewood Funeral Home, Castlewood. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society , P. O.
