Born August 8,1934 in Winchester, VA, the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. H. Delmer Robinson.
Mrs. Cook led an active and productive life. She graduated from the Holton Arms School and Sennet Junior College.
Having a lifelong interest in horses, Mrs. Cook was an avid horsewoman and hunted many years with the Blue Ridge Hunt and other neighboring packs.
Martha Cook faced cancer the way she faced life with courage and uncompromising good humor.
Surviving Mrs. Cook is her husband of 44 years, William F. Cook, Jr., her two daughters by her first marriage to the late B. Beverley Byrd, Anne Byrd Dean and Westwood Beverley Byrd and three grandchildren William Bradshaw Dean, Gray Avenel McDermid, and Evelyn Anne McDermid.
A funeral will be at noon Monday at Christ
Church in Millwood. Burial will be in Old Chapel Cemetery, Clarke County.

handling arrangements.
