Suggested edit from member (48323020) :"I have added a second John Gillenwaters to the list of children links for Thomas and Eleanor. I received an edit suggestion from someone (E.K.) and deliberated for 3 days and checked with the person who created this John memorial (died 1861 and buried in MC Gillenwaters Cemetery). We both also agree Sgt. John is not the likely John unless you know otherwise. I pass the deliberation on to you now."

My inclination, as manager of this memorial is to agree with the above suggestion that John Marion is less likely to be Thomas' son that the second John most recently added. Should you have any further proof, feel free to contact me.
