Edwin Francis Bauman, 87, entered the Lord's presence Thursday, January 10, 2013.

Ed was born to Elmer and Mabel Bauman August 5, 1925, in Modesto, California. He was a lifelong resident of the Modesto-Ripon area.

Ed was a skilled wood craftsman and artisan learning his trade from his father. He worked many years for Ray Kinzie construction, specializing in detailed finish carpentry.
Ed committed his life to Jesus Christ at an early age, followed by a life of devotion and service to his family and others. He exemplified a life of integrity and honesty, having the heart of a servant and a willingness to put the needs of others before his own.

Ed married his childhood sweetheart, Bernice Mohler in June of 1948, and was blessed with 57 years of marriage.

He was preceded in death by his wife Bernice, and his sister Marion Noble. He is survived by his sister Irene Mohler of Ripon, brothers Merle Bauman of Modesto and Marvin Bauman of Quinter, Kansas.

He leaves 4 children and spouses; Dick Bauman (Carol) of Ripon; Becky Boyd (Gary) of Sweet Home, Oregon; Anita Gall (Randy) of Ripon; and Neil Bauman (Jacquie) of Ripon; 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Dad's commitment to quality and Godly character has been a thumbprint left on his family and all whose lives he touched.

"A good character is the best tombstone. Those who love you and were helped by you will remember you. So carve your name on hearts, and not on marble." - C.H. Spurgeon "The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, And He delights in his way." Psalm 37:23
Viewing will be at Deegan Chapel in Ripon Thursday, January 17th from 2-5 pm.

A memorial service will be held Friday, January 18th, 10:00am at Ripon Grace Church, 734 West Main Street, Ripon, followed by burial at Wood Colony Cemetery.
