The funeral for Clifford C. Padgham, 80, who died February 26, 1990, at Kiowa District Hospital in Kiowa, Kansas, will be at 2 PM Thursday at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Alan Runge officiating. Burial will be in Cherokee Municipal Cemetery directed by Goodwin Funeral Home.
He was born June 20, 1909, in Guthrie to Alfred and Fannie Redman Padgham. He attended Guthrie schools and worked for the U.S. Agricultural Research Service in the Guthrie area. On July 1, 1937, he married Louise Scheihing in Guthrie. They moved to Cherokee in 1939, where he was employed by the U.S. Agricultural Research Service, retiring in 1968 after 33 years of service. He also worked for T.H. Rogers Lumber Company. For 13 years, retiring in 1981. He was a member of the First Baptist Church.
