"Mrs. Roberta Pauline Zimmerman, 98, formerly of Keymar, Union Bridge and Westminster, died Tuesday, Nov. 27, at Reeder's Memorial Home, Boonsboro, where she has resided for nine years. She was the wife of Leo Freeze Zimmerman, who died in May, 1981. Born Aug. 1, 1903, near Sams Creek, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Mary Alexander. Mrs. Zimmerman was a member of the Union Bridge Methodist Church and was an active member at Reeder's Memorial Home. Mrs. Zimmerman spent most of her life as a homemaker in the Keymar and Union Bridge areas. She resided with her daughter, Margaret Haines, for many years before entering Reeder's memorial Home. Surviving are two daughters, Jeanette Welty of Blue Ridge Summit, Pa., and Margaret Haines of Westminster; and one son, Charles Zimmerman of Union Bridge; two cousins, Carrie Cutchin and Clifford Alexander, both of Westminster; one sister-in-law, Louise Alexander of Westminster; four grandchildren, Gail Susan Wilhelm, Steven Zimmerman, Josephine Sanders and Robert Delphey; six great-grandchildren, Michael toms, Mary Margaret Danner, Mike Delphey, Bobi Jo Barber, Heather Wilhelm and Wendy Beachman; 16 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Zimmerman was preceded in death by one sister, Margaret Furry; and one brother, Earline Alexander. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at Evangelical Bible Church, 14698 Albert Staub Court, Thurmont, with the Rev. Wade Sandridge officiating. The family invites friends to join them for refreshments after the service at Robert and Louann Delphey's house, 10 S. Altamont Ave., Thurmont."
