Homer Carson Burnett, 82, of Lynchburg went to be with the Lord Wednesday, January 16, 2013. He was the loving husband of Pamela Sisson Burnett. Born April 26, 1930 in Galax, he was a son of the late William Carson Burnett and Mildred Lee Thomas Burnett. In addition to his wife, Homer is also survived by a daughter, Kate Burnett. Homer was a U.S. Navy Veteran. After the Navy Homer worked and retired as a Shipping Clerk. He was a very active member of Jordan Baptist Church where he served as an usher and was also a visitation pastor. Homer loved the Lord. A Memorial service will be held at Jordan Baptist Church, Sunday, January 27, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. conducted by Dr. Melvin Campbell.
