Obituary: "Services Tuesday for Robert Dunn - Funeral services for Robert Dunn, 88, Ohio, were held Tuesday morning in Jones funeral home, Dixon, and Immaculate Conception church, Ohio, with the Rev. Fr. Edgar Taylor officiating. Burial was in St. Mary's cemetery, Ohio. Mr. Dunn died Sunday in Perry Memorial hospital after a short illness. He had resided in North Dakota most of his life but had lived recently at Ohio. He was born July 24, 1876, in Hamilton township, Lee county, the son of Michael and Mary Anne Downey Dunn. He married Winifred McGraw May 19, 1938, at Anoka, Minn. He leaves his wife and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, and seven sisters." "Robert Dunn, son of Michael T. Dunn and Mary Ann Downey, was born July 24, 1877 on a farm near Ohio, Illinois. He died April 18, 1965. He was graduated from Dixon, Illinois College where he received his law degree.

After passing the North Dakota bar examination, he took up a Homestead in Oliver County where he taught school for several years before being elected County Attorney. He served in that capacity for many years. He met Anna Maloney who was a court reporter in Bismarck. They were married at St. Mary's Church in Chicago, Illinois. Both Mr. and Mrs. Dunn were active in the Center Community.

Several years after the death of his wife, Anna, he married Winifred McGraw, of Minneapolis, who was principal of the Ridgefield, Minnesota school. Miss McGraw formally taught in Center. Upon Mr. Dunn's retirement, he and Mrs. Dunn spent winters in warm climates. At the time of his last illness, they were living in Mesa, Arizona then returned to Ohio, Illinois, his former home. He died at Princeton, Illinois hospital and was buried from St. Mary's Church, Ohio, Illinois. Winifred moved to Austin, Minnesota and retired at Sacred Heart Hospice and died there after a nine year period. She, too, was buried from St. Mary's Church in Ohio, Illinois.

Mr. and Mrs. Dunn had no immediate survivors other than nieces and nephews. Although they had no children of their own, they brought happiness to the lives of many."
