They resided with a cousin by the name of Gaspare Anastasi and his wife Josephine "Josie" Culicchia in Cleveland, OH. This is Giacomo (Jacob) Culicchia son in-law and daughter. A third brother Antoninio Di Dia, arrived to the U.S. by himself on October 26th, 1912, on the S.S. Guglielmo and resided with his older brother Vincenzo Di Dia in Sandusky, OH, until he moved to Knoxville, TN. Another brother Michele Di Dia with his wife and one female daughter, came to the U.S. July 25th 1913 and they reside in the Boston, Mass. area with the Bertolino family. Michele and his family return back to Marsala, Sicily after the death of one of their daughter that was born in Boston, she was 2 yrs old.

Chris Dee married Maggie Celina O'Brien 1900-1954 in Hamilton Co., Chattanooga, TN on June 29th, 1915. Maggie Celina O'Brien was only 15, but claimed herself to be 18.
and Chris Dee claimed to be 24, when in fact he was 27. They had two children in Tennessee but they shortly died after birth. Chriss Dee 1916-1917 died of measles
at 7 months, and Infant Dee (female) 1917-1917 died at birth due to deformity.
Shortly after the death of their two children Chris and Maggie moved to San Diego, California with his brother Antonino "Tony Dee" Di Dia and his wife Hazel Merie Bell 1902-1988. Giacomo and Maggie had a third child in San Diego, California and named him John W. Dee August 18, 1918. We know that Chris and his wife resided in San Diego due to the 1919 City Directory. There it stated that they ran a shoe repair shop. It is unknown why and when they return back to Chattanooga, TN, cause they had another son (my grandfather) James Edward Dee August 11th, 1920 born in Chattanooga, TN.
Shortly after the birth of James Edward Dee, Sr. 1920-1973 the family went to Marsala, Sicily. It's not sure if they were going to live there, or just to visit family. During their time there Maggie had gotten pregnant and wanted to return to the U.S., and Giacomo Di Dia did not want to return. Giacomo and Maggie decided to go their separated ways. Giacomo kept one son, John W. Dee and had his name changed to Giovanni Guglielmo De Dia. Giacomo also change his last name to De Dia. It is believe that he wanted to keep part of his American last name "De" and part of his Italian last name "Dia" (Di Dia / De Dia).
Shortly after Maggie and her son (my grandfather) James Dee return to U.S. on November 1st, 1922 on King Alexander, Mildred Christine Dee was born on April 2nd, 1923 in Chattnooga, TN.
Giacomo De Dia later had a relation with Tommasa Ferracane 1891-1967, in this relationship they had a child that they named Michele Ferracane, born 16 April 1929. Since they were never married the child had to take the mother maiden name.
It was reported that Giacomo De Dia died in a automobile accident on Aug. 8, 1953, Marsala, Provincia di Trapani, Sicilia, Italy. He was bury at the Marsala City Cemetery but his body was transfer to Petrosino City Cemetery in 1967.

It was taken to the Italian Consulate office in Memphis, TN for translation into Italian, originally in English, Memphis, TN, 27 May 1927. (signatures listed). 1929, the 12th of March at the hour of 9 in the town hall, before Michele Salvo, son of Antonio, appointed on the 6th of July 1926 as the official of the vital records office of the city of Marsala, appeared Giacomo Di Dia, age 40, cobbler, who lives here, who presents a copy of the record of marriage, copied below, recorded by the official of the county of Hamilton on the 24th of May 1927, written in a foreign language and translated into Italian, and asked me to transcribe it into the register of marriages here. Adhering to the legitimate request from Giacomo Di Dia, who has an interest in the transcription, I fully and accurately transcribed a copy of the record below:
State of Tennessee, County of Hamilton
I, T. W. Killough, Official of the Court of this county, certify that Giacomo Di Dia, known in Chattanooga Tennessee under the name Chris Dee, and Maggie O'Brien, were united in marriage on the 29th of June 1915 by the Judge H. B. Caulkins, as shown by the records in my office. Dated and signed in Chattanooga. On the 24th of May 1927 by the Registrar E. W. Killough and Vice Registrar J. D. Hixson (signatures). It was taken to the Italian Consulate office in Memphis, TN for translation into Italian, originally in English, Memphis, TN, 27 May 1927. (signatures listed). The transcription and original have been placed into the volume of attachments of this register. Witness is Giuseppe Pellegrino, 61, mediator, and Pietro Pulizzi, 61, carpenter, both of this town.
