Ernest J. Boyer Jr., 49, 330 S. Harrison St., Palmyra, died Thursday afternoon of a heart attack at the Save-U Market, Palmyra, where he had been a manager for the last ten years. From 1948-1962 he was owner and operator of Boyer's Food Market, East Main Street, Palmyra. He suffered his first heart attack in June of this year. He was a member of the Faith Tabernacle Congregation in Lebanon, the Palmyra Legion Post 72, Citizen Fire Co. of Palmyra, and the Palmyra VFW Post 6417. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in the European Theatre for 19 months. He is survived by his wife, Nora Shartle Boyer; one son, Ernest J. 3rd; four daughters, Jean, wife of Gerald D. Feaser, Dauphin; Linda, wife of Walter L. Feaser, Mechanicsburg; Gail Ann and Kay Marie, both at home; three grandchildren; his parents, Ernest and Nora Bressler Boyer, Altoona; four sisters, Adeline, wife of Richard Boyer, Lebanon; Mary, wife of Robert Funk, Lebanon; Nancy, wife of Milton Kreiser, Lebanon RD 3, and Elaine, wife of Kenneth Claar, Altoona; four brothers, Charles E., Marlin R., Carl P. and Kenneth J., all of Lebanon.
