Perkins was born March 27, 1921, in Thickett Raymond and Mittie(Patterson) Perkins, and died, Thursday Jan. 17, 2013 at Kindred Hospital in Tomball. He married Jackie Lalley Perkins on Feb. 5, 1946, and the couple was married 66 years. Perkins graduated Cum Laude from Baylor University and Magna Cum Laude from Texas Christian University with a Masters in Education. He worked for the National Aeronautics and Space Admistration(NASS) for many years, and taught many astronauts. Perkins also worked tor LTV engineering airplanes.
He is preceded in death by parents Raymond and Mittie Perkins and son Van Perkins.
Survivors include wife Jackie Perkins of Tomball; son Greg Perkins and wife Liz of Little Elm; and daughter Priscilla Hamic of Tomball.
Cozart Funeral Home of Normangee was in charge of arrangements.
