Esequíel "Sam" Lesperance passed away on October 1, 2004. Esequíel is survived by his wife, Amelia Lesperance, his sons, Charlie Lesperance and Mark Lesperance and daughter, Rosemary Ortiz, his sister, Josephine Chávez and her husband, Jack and his brother, Victor Campbell, as well as nine Lesperance brothers and three Lesperance sisters, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A rosary will be held at St. Anne's Catholic Church on Sunday, October 3, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at St. Anne's Catholic Church on Monday, October 4, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. Final internment will follow at San José de Armijo Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Anthony Ortiz, Martín Chávez, Joseph Chávez, David Chávez, Steve Chávez and Charles Lesperance Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Rick Lesperance and Matthew Ortiz.
