Anna Lee Scarbrough, of Wade passed into eternity January 17, 2013 having had a very full life of loving, caring, serving and sharing.

She was born March 20, 1918 in Latimer, Mississippi.

Anna Lee was blessed with many joys in her life, first and foremost God and her family.

She will likely be best remembered for her love of cooking. Many of her most enjoyable days were spent in her kitchen. She worked many years and retired from the East Central High School cafeteria.

She traveled with Linwood as often as possible during his Navy service and to construction jobs within the southeast.

They enjoyed camping on the local rivers, fishing and hunting together.

She was a long time member of Caswell Springs United Methodist Church where she taught kindergarten, Sunday school and served on many committees.

She was a generous giver, always seeking to provide support for anyone in need.

Anna Lee was an avid reader and enjoyed word games, cross word puzzles and did so until her last days.

She was preceded in death by her parents William W. Holland and Laura Ellen (Goff) Holland; her beloved husband of 68 years, Linwood; sisters Addie (Walter)Webber, Bertha (A.J.) Moody, Lula (Leon) Cumbest, Mary (Jerry) Davis, Geneva (Smitty) Smith; brothers Ellis (Choyce) Holland and James (Minnie) Holland.

Survivors include her devoted son George (Ella) Scarbrough and a host of very special nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
