Gladys M. Bloyd, 86, of Summersville, Ky. died Sunday, June 25, 2006 at her home. Daughter of the late Charlie Creed Marcum and Mary Lydia Walker Marcum, she was born in Green County, Ky. on July 23, 1919. She was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She was married to Edward "Eddie" Cluster Bloyd on Sept. 4, 1935. He preceded her in death on July, 16, 1999. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Milton Creed and Elizabeth Bloyd of Summersville; three grandchildren and their spouses, Sherry Bloyd, Gayle and Ricky Edmonds and Billy and Becky Bloyd, all of Summersville; three sisters, Dorothy Sampson of Louisville, Ky., Layola Homer of Ohio and Mariana Russell of Brooks, Ky.; and five great-grandchildren. Funeral was Tuesday, June 27 at Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home. The Rev. Leslie Jewell officiated. Burial was in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were Billy Bloyd, Kenny Russell, Cody Bloyd, Ricky Edmonds, Donnie Deshae, David Dobson, Clint Russell and Jonathan Bloyd.
