Doris Eileen Delker, age 86 ,of Greenwood, SC, formerly of Hamilton, passed away on Sunday, January 13, 2013. She was born on September 12, 1926 in Dayton, the daughter of the late James and Lucinda "Sinda "(Truett) Elam. Doris married her husband of 37 years, Bicknell Emerson Delker, and he preceded her in death on November 30, 1989. She went on to marry her husband of 18 years, James Starling, on March 25, 1994 in Abbeville, SC.

She graduated from Berea High School in Berea, KY. On August 1, 1952 in Fort Wayne, IN, Doris was a member of the V.F.W. Women's Auxiliary, Greenwood, SC Chapter. She loved bowling, playing softball, gardening and collecting antiques.

Doris is survived by her husband, Jim;
son, Wayne Delker and his wife Lynn;
grandchildren, Andrew Delker, Rebecca Delker and Erin Delker;
sister, Kathleen (Elam) Teague;
friend, Marie Malcolm;
numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents;
first husband, Bicknell;
siblings, Lee Pennington, Ruby (Elam) Helton, Lucille Elam, Edward Elam, Bernice (Elam) Eden and Ruth Elam.
