Ransome Connick Dies At Hospital on Tuesday
Ransome Samuel Connick, 65, 1916 Manning, died at 10:45 p.m. at Newton Memorial hospital Tuesday. He had been seriously ill a week.
He was born Nov. 17, 1892 at Red Oak, Ia., the son of Fred and Sarah Connick, and came to Winfield with his parents at the age of three years.
He served in World War I from 1918-1919 and was married to Bernice Goggin in 1926. He was a member of the Holy Name Catholic church.
Besides his wife he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Margaret Rogers of Drury and Mrs. Mary Schwader of Winfield; and three grandchildren.
Requiem mass will be conducted at Holy Name Catholic church Friday at 9:30 a.m. Rosary will be said at Morris Memorial chapel Thursday at 7:30 p.m. Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery.
