Mrs. Melinda Gail Cason Six Todd, 50 of Offerman, passed away Monday morning, January 14, 2013, at her residence following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born on August 29, 1962 in Blackshear, Mrs. Todd was a lifelong resident of Offerman. She worked as the secretary at Patterson Elementary School for 11 years, and was a member of Turning Point Non-Denominational Church in Jesup.
She loved spending time with her family and will be remembered as a faithful wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Mrs. Todd was a Godly lady who enjoyed going to church and singing. Her awesome personality brought many smiles to those who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Robert "Chuck" Six; a daughter, Elizabeth Jean Six; her father, Joseph Allen "Sonny" Cason, and a brother, Michael Cason.
Survivors include her husband, Danny Charles Todd of Offerman; a daughter, Katie Six Cravey (husband Josh) of Manor; a step-daughter, Lacey Hand (husband Timmy) of Baxley; her mother, Betty Jean O'Berry Gill of Offerman; four brothers, Shane Cason of Ft. Lauderdale, Donnie Cason (wife Tammy) of Offerman, Tony Cason of Offerman, Joey Cason of Offerman; a grandson, Jonah Bryson Cravey; two step grandchildren, Trenten Charles Hand and Annalyn Hand; a nephew, Nate Cason and numerous other relatives and friends.
Memorials:
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of South Georgia, 1625 Sunset Boulevard, Jesup, Georgia 31545.
Visitation:
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 o'clock Wednesday evening, January 16, 2013 at the funeral home.
Service:
The funeral for Mrs. Todd will be held at 4:00 o'clock Thursday afternoon, January 17, 2013, at Patterson Baptist Church.
The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service.
Cemetery:
Interment will be in the Offerman Cemetery.
