Mixon Urbanski, 90, passed
away on Sunday, January 13,
2013 at Hospice Savannah.
Mrs. Roberta was born in
Lyons, Ga. and spent a number
of years in Dickson, PA
before moving to Binghamton,
NY.
She was preceded in death
by her parents, George W.
and Lilly Rachels Mixon;
first husband, Mack Mackinwitz;
second husband, Wallace
Urbanski; sisters, Evelyn
Bryant and Mary Lou
Dowd; brothers, Thadus
Mixon, G.L. Mixon and his
wife, Ruby, Medford Mixon
and his wife, Nellie, L.K.
Mixon and his wife, Eleanor.
She was a communicant of
St. Staneslaers Church of
the Holy Trinity, a former
member of the Rosary Society,
a member of the American
Legion Auxiliary # 1305,
the Broome County Women's
Republican Club, the Johnson
City Women's Republican
Club, the Binghampton
Pocka Paoders, the Great Tip
Club, Jimmy Sturr's Fan
Club and the Bill Flynn Fan
Club. She loved to sew and
worked in a manufacturing
factory in Scranton, PA. She
worked in the Vogue Shoe
Store for many years in
Binghampton, was a whiz in
making clothes, coats, dresses
and anything you needed
to make. She enjoyed going
to the local and out of town
Polka dances and going out
to dinner with her friends.
Mrs. Roberta will lie in state
from 1-2 p.m. at the church.
Burial will follow in the
church cemetery.
