Hazel M. (Bowser) Anthony of Kittanning died Sunday, January 13, 2013. She was born July 6, 1927 in East Franklin Township to Stanley and Margaret (Zeigler) Bowser. Hazel formerly worked at Eoulis Dry Cleaning, Essex in Kittanning and Toy's Golden Dawn. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Kittanning. Hazel volunteered at the Election Board in East Franklin Township and enjoyed boating, camping, yard-work, cleaning, jigsaw puzzles, reading and was an animal lover. She is survived by her two sons: Theodore E. (Bette Ann) Anthony of Butler and Daniel J. Anthony of Havelock, N.C.; grandson, Jason E. (Michelle) Anthony of Butler; sister, Faye (Charles) Miller of Mesa, Ariz; and several nieces and nephews and many loving friends and neighbors. Hazel was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Delbert J. Anthony, who died in 2003. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8PM tomorrow, Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Kittanning. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 11AM Thursday, January 17, 2013, with the Rev. A. David Meneely officiating. Interment will follow in Lawn Haven Burial Estates.
