William Benjamin Casey was born in Coosa Co., AL. He moved with his mother, Griselda Meharg Casey, to Texas when when he was 14 years of age. He is not listed on the 1870 census for some unknown reason, but does show up in the 1880 census.

He married Mollie E. Clements and they had 10 children: Benjamin Woodson, Della Ann, Alan Frederick, James Newton, Roland Hill, Bonnie Beatrice, Lillie Wyona, George Dewey, Jefferson Dean, and Donley.

He died at the young age of 49.
