Sadie M. Beggs, 90, of rural Plainfield, passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2013, at Wild Rose Manor.
She was born August 13, 1922, in Coloma, the daughter of Claude and Joy (Powell) Brown. She married John E. Beggs on January 18, 1940, in Iowa. He preceded her in death on April 10, 2003.
Mrs. Beggs farmed with her husband in the town of Almond, for many years. She was also worked at Turzinski Poultry Farms of Almond and later Del Monte Corporation in Plover.
She is survived by John (Judy) Beggs, Plainfield; Robert (Evelyn) Beggs, Hancock; one daughter, Janince (John) Peterson, Michigan; four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren; one brother, Vern Brown Sr., Hixton; one sister, Vaneta (Jack) Willis, South Beloit; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many special friends.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, two grandsons and one brother.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 14, 2013, at 11:30 a.m. at the Leikness & Stahl Funeral Home, Plainfield. Burial will be in the Spiritland Cemetery, town of Almond
