Funeral Services Were Conducted Wednesday Afternoon
David Bowman, 63 died at 8 o'clock Monday morning Dec. 19,1938 at his home in Wallace following an illness of more than a week's duration with appendicitis.
Mr. Bowman was born July 21, 1875, near Wallace, the son of Dennis and Laura Wilkinson Bowman. He was married 28 years ago to Edna Myers, who survives.
Other survivors, in addition to the widow, are two sisters, Mrs. Maggie Green of Veedersburg and Mrs. Lillie McGinnis of near Byron, and five brothers, Henry, Nelson and Sam of near Wallace, Alva of Veedersburg and George of Frankfort.
Funeral services were conducted at 1:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Lutheran church located east of Wallace, in charge of Rev. Rev. John Servies. Burial was made in the adjoining cemetery.
