James Richard Jacks was born in 1835, in Tennessee, to parents William Martin Jacks born 1815 KY. and Narcissia Temperence Redding born 1815. James R. Jacks was married twice, first to Bethany Herridge. The date and location of this first marriage are unknown, however to this union was born Christopher, Leonidas, Lulla, Robert E.
