Theresia was the oldest of 6 children of Johann Anton Bodenmuller and Maria Sybilla Baum born 6 Nov 1836 in Rheinsheim, (now part of city of Philipsburg) Karlsruhe, Baden. (There was no Baden-Wurtemburg or Germany at that time).
In 1848 her parents were granted permission to emigrate to United States along with their children Theresia, Karolina, Joseph, Georg and Maria.
She Married Joseph Hittler about 1859 in Ohio and they had the following children:
Theresa (1857- about 1871)
Katherine (1860- ?)
Mary Louisa (1864- ?)
Joseph jr. (1865- 1945)
John A. (1868- 1913)
George (1870- 1914)
Theresa (1873 - 1945)
Clara (1876 - ?)
William L. (1880- 1940)
