WILLIAM T. FOWLER
Son of Samuel and Hannah Fowler, was born in Virginia. August 14. 1831. departed this life January 9. 1921. aged eighty-nine years. four months and twentysix days. He was united in marriage to Catharine Davis. November 27. 1851. to this union eleven children were born, five sons and six daughters. His wife and four daughters preceded himin death. Brother Fowler was a faithful member of the Primitive Baptist Church for a number of years, was baptized by Elder E- Barker. He enlisted in the United States Army, Co. H. 161st Ohio Regiment for one hundred days at Camp Chore. Ohio. On the second day of May, 1864. in the Ohio Volunteers of Infantry. under Captain W. P. Fowler and Col. 0. P. Taylor. and was discharged at Columbus. Ohio. September 29, 1864. He leaves to mourn. five sons. two daughters. sixteen grandchildren. five great grandchildren. four sisters and a host of friends. Funeral was held at the Union M. E. Church- Sermon by Elder T. Williams assisted by the writer. Text, "I am in a straight betwixt two having a desire to depart and be with Christ which is far better." Brother Fowler was a member of the Bethel church in Noble County. Ohio. L. V. Hrra.
