Mr. Robert J. Campbell, 65, of 5277 Church St., Mexico, was pronounced dead on arrival at Lee Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, Oct. 10. He was employed by Superfood Services until his retirement five years ago as a result of illness.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was a member of EdickHamlin Post 369 VFW Mexico. He was a member of the Truck Driver's Local 317, the Qrt Century Wireless Association, the Oswego County Amateur Radio Club, the county Association for Retarded Children and the Emerald Crest Golf Club. He was a shortwave radio operator. Surviving are his wife, Barbara Dumning Campbell, a daughter, Jill of Mexico; a son, James of Jacksonville,Il.; a grandson; a brother, Howard of Rochester; and a sister, Irene Bacon of Oswego. Services were held at the Harter-Olmstead Funeral Home, Mexico. Burial will be in Mexico Village Cemetery
