Funeral services for Mrs. Joe M. (Susan) Beheler of Elm Mott will be at 10am Fiday in Wilkirson and Hatch Chapel. Rev. Tom Brown will officiate with burial in White Rock Cemetery.
Mrs. Beheler suffered a heart attack at her home and was declared dead at 1:40pm Wed. at a Waco hospital. She was 83.
Mrs. Beheler was born in Iron County, Mo., and came to McLennan County near Ross in 1882. She was daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. W.M. Marchbanks. She was married to Joe Beheler at Ross in 1897 and had lived in Elm Mott since then. Mr. Beheler was in the grocery business at the time of their marriage, and Mrs. Beheler had helped him in the store ever since.
Mrs. Behler was one of the oldest members of Elm Mott Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband; two daughters, Mrs. W.A.(Velma Pearl) Varner of Elm Mott and Mrs. R.E. (Goldie Ray) Tipps of Levelland; one son, Howard Beheler, also of Levelland; six sisters, Mrs. Frankie Abbott of Kate Ross Apartments, Mrs. Addie Peterson of Gholson, Mrs. J.M. Witten of McCamey, Mrs. J.L. Rice of Bellmead, Mrs. Ollie Neal and Mrs. Jewell Prince both of China Spring; a brother Bill Marchbanks of Waco: 14 grandchilren and 35 great-grandchildren
