Nellie A. Morris Kiefer 91 of Rolla , formerly of Ash Grove and Springfield, MO.
passed away Thursday, evening in Parkside Assisted Living following an extended illness.
Nellie was born in Ash Grove and was a longtime resident of the area prior to moving to Spiringfield, Mo. She graduated from Ash Grove High School in 1939, and later attendedand graduated from nursing college. She was a Nurse working at Burge Hospital, Springfield and for 14 years was the School Nurse in the Willard Schools. She was a longtime active member of the Ash Grove First Christian Church.
Nellie Thurmond and James E. Morris were united in marriage on June 20, 1942. To this union 3 children were born. Together they were privileged to share over 47 years. James preceded her in death on April 5, 1990. Nellie and Frank Fiefer were united in marriage and he also preceded her in death.
Nellie is survived by her Children: 2 Sons: Don and wife Pam Morris of Rolla, Missouri and Jon Morris of Ash Grove, Mo. and Daughter: Karla and husband David Schmitt of Washington, Mo. 7 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren.
Interment in Ash Grove Cemetery.
