Arthur J. "Butch" Bielkiewicz Jr., 86, a native of Marksville and a resident of Galliano for 56 years, passed away Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Cut Off. Visitation will also be from 8 a.m. until funeral time Monday at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with burial in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
He is survived by his daughter, Glenda B. Curole and husband, Welton; sister, Lucille B. Robertson and husband, Dennis; grandson, Bryan D. Curole and wife, Susan; and great-grandchildren, Caroline Curole, Elizabeth Curole and Jacob Curole
.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Wava D. Bielkiewicz; parents, Arthur Sr. and Elvira Bielkiewicz; brothers, Wilbert Bielkiewicz and Sylvan Bielkiewicz; sisters, Verdie B. Lemoine and Bertha B. Gagnard.
He was a dedicated father and grandfather. He was a member of the Holy Name Society of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Golden Meadow Rotary Club. He was the manager of Gulfco Finance Company in Golden Meadow for 32 years.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Cut Off is in charge of arrangements.
