Conrad Bayasch Arduser

Conrad was born to Johan Rudolph Bayasch and Margret Ursula Christ. Following his father's death in 1890 when Conrad was just 2 years old, his mother married John Christian Arduser. His stepfather adopted Conrad and his sister Anna Marie.

Conrad (Connie) A; Arduser, 85, former banker died Monday, October 1, 1973 in Mercy Hospital at Denver, Colorado.
Funeral services were held Friday in the United Methodist Church at Marion with Rev. Wesley Hart officiating. Burial was in Marion Cemetery.
Mrs. Leonard Neevel was organist for the service. She accompanied a duet sung by Shirley McInnes and Carl Opdahl.
Honorary pallbearers were Arthur Knudsen, Norman Winkelman, A.C. Trapp, Albert Knudsen, Leonard Boelter and Charles Struble.
Active pallbearers were Conrad Paulson, Robert Cunningham and Harley Anderson. Daly-Peterson-Thornby Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Member of the MacKay Chapter of Masonic Lodge No. 18 of LaMoure and of Boy Scout Troop No. 180 of Marion with Scoutmaster Eldon Pinke attended the funeral in a body.
Born February 5, 1888, in Saratoga Townshi[, the Dakota Territory, Mr. Arduser attended grade school near his home and graduated from high school in Arcadia, Wisconsin. He received his business education at a business college in Fargo and started his banking career in Dickey, N.D., with his uncle, A. T. Christ. Later, he moved to Adrian. His marriage to Amanda Larson took place October 21, 1913 at Dickey. In the fall of 1928, the Ardusers moved to Marion where he was cashier of the State Bank of Marion until 1956.
Mr. Arduser was active in Boy Scouts and was recipient of the Silver Beaver Award for his efforts in the organization of the club. He was treasurer of the Marion School for 30 years, a member of the Masonic Lodge of LaMoure for 50 years and a member of the United Methodist Church of Marion.
He is survived by two daughters, Helen Arduser, LTC (ret.) U.S. Army, Dillon Colorado and Mrs. Vernon Jorve (Virginia) of Marion; four grandchildren; one brother, Leonard Arduser, Marion; six sisters, Mrs. Anna Anderson, Mrs. Alby Paulson and Mrs. Luella McCleary, all of Marion; Mrs. Don Bixby (Verna) and Mrs. Fred Paulson (Margaret) of Minneapolis, and Mrs. Celia Nelson in New Jersey. He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents and one sister.
