Rose V. Drotos, 94, of Newport, N.C., passed away on Jan. 7, 2013, at Croatan Ridge Nursing Home in Newport.

She was born in Eatons, West Virginia, the daughter of Lewis N. and Mary Lemasters Marlow, on Oct. 1, 1918.

Survivors include her daughters, Rose Mary (Larry) Jones of Springfield, Ky., Mariah Ruth Drotos of High Springs, Fla., Joan Drotos of Swansboro, N.C. and step-daughter Jeanette Kingsley (Merle) of Swansboro, N.C.; grandchildren, Wendy (Thad) Bryant of Alachua, Fla., Sam (Kindra) Jones of Leitchfield, Ky., Jacob Jones of Lexington, Ky., Jennifer Drotos of Swansboro, N.C., and step-grandchildren Kris Drumm of Emerald Isle, N.C., Mark Kingsley of Swansboro, N.C.; great-grandchildren Emily and Jacob Bryant and step-great-grandchildren Jared and Courtney Drumm.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Earl, Roy, and Arthur Marlow; and seven sisters, Lucy Sprouse, Maggie Neighbors, Daisy Sams, Ruth Marlow, Edith Riley, Laura Boyte and Hazel Marlow

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Walker, W.Va.
