Robert C. Stine Sr., 82, of 746 W. Louther St., Carlisle, died Thursday, Aug. 29, 2002, in his home.
Born on Jan. 28, 1920, in Carlisle, he was the son of the late Diller and Ada (Clay) Stine.
Mr. Stine was a graduate of the Carlisle Commercial College. He retired after 35 years of service at the Carlisle Barracks, having worked in the finance and accounting department. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
He was a member of the Salvation Army Senior Center in Carlisle.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Meda J. (Weise) Stine of Carlisle; two sons, Robert C. Stine Jr. and James T. Stine, both of Carlisle; eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Faith Chapel, 1453 Holly Pike, Carlisle, with the Rev. Michael J. Mayer officiating. Burial will be in Westminster Cemetery, North Middleton Township.
Friends may call from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel.
