Virgil L. Allen, 62, of Evansville, died Saturday, Jan. 12, 2002, at his home of liver cancer.
He was a self-employed roofer.Surviving are two daughters, Tina Grunow and Samantha Gibson, both of Evansville; a son, James of Evansville; a sister, Violet Schnabel of Evansville; two brothers, Henry and his caregiver, John "Pat," both of Evansville; five grandchildren, Stephanie and Kaitlin Grunow and Trevor, Tevin and Tyler Gibson; and nieces and nephews.Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Locust Hill Cemetery, the Rev. Tim Leadingham officiating.Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Alexander Funeral Home North Chapel.
