SHEWMAKER, IRENE, 90, of Louisville, was born April 18, 1917 to the late Jessie and Alice Girtley Redmon in Spencer County, KY and returned to her Heavenly Father Saturday July 7, 2007. Mrs. Shewmaker was a retired employee for the Fisher Packing Company and a member of Beechmont Baptist Church.
She leaves to cherish her memory her loving daughter, Virginia Webb (Wendell); a sister, Ethel Stevens (Lewis); three grandchildren, Kathy Terry, Danny Webb (Carlene) and Angela Webb Greenup (Mark); seven great- grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be held 1:30 p.m. Monday at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with entombment to follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects from 1 -8 p.m. Sunday and after 9 a.m. Monday at Schoppenhorst.
