Juanita A. Boatright, 90, of Tampa, Florida passed away January 01, 2013. Juanita was born March 28, 1922 in Laughman, Florida and lived in Arcadia, Florida until 1962 when she moved to Tampa. She was a member of East Sligh Avenue Baptist Church and the Church of God of Arcadia. Juanita was a proud homemaker, loved flowrs and working in her yard. Her children adn grandchildren were her life. She was the "rock" of the family and will be deeply missed.
Juanita is survived by her son, James Boatright, Jr., of Brandford, Florida, daughters; Margie (Albert) Gutierrez, of Tampa, Florida, Jacqueline Goldberg, of Jacksonville, Florida, brothers; Dewey (Myrna) Monts De Oca, of Tampa, Florida, Jack (Christin) Monts De Oca, of Fort Myers, Florida, William (Betty) Monts De Oca, of Tampa, Florida, Fred (Ruth) Monts De Oca, of Watagua, Texas, sisters; Eloise (Chuck) Swayne of Tampa, Florida, Mary Jane Farrish, of Cocoa Beach, Florida, 12 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Juanita was preceded in death by her husband, James "Snook" Boatright, Sr., parents; Dewey and Neva (nee Poole) Monts De Oca, sons; Arthur Boatright, Bobby Boatright and Richard Boatright.
A visitation will be held Saturday, January 05, 2013 from 12-1 pm at Ponger Kays Grady Funeral Home, Arcadia, Florida, followed by a service at 1:00 pm. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery, Arcadia, Florida.
