Kathleen Jo Puskac Walkup, 51, of Chandler, Arizona passed away on March 3rd. 2008 in Phoenix, Arizona. "Time is too slow for those who wait, too swift for those who fear, too long for those who grieve, too short for those who rejoice, but for those who love, time is eternity."
Kathleen was born in Danville, IL. on June 30th, 1956 to Joseph and Bette Puskac. In her teens, Kathy and her family moved to Miami, Florida where she completed High School and gained her license in cosmetology. Kathleen then married 1st husband, in 1977 later bearing one daughter, Lauren in 1979. After her divorce in 1981, Kathy continued her work as a cosmetologist.
Traveling overseas to England, she worked in a local Salon, then returning to the United States after a year. In 1988, Kathleen worked for Miami-Dade Police department for a few years then returned to her work as a cosmetologist. Her volunteer work after Hurricane Andrew with Miami-Dade Police department, validated her desire to move from Florida to Arizona of which she loved the most. Kathleen remarried, Keith Walkup, on Oct. 3rd 2000, In Danville Illinois, acquiring a Step Daughter, Mariah. Kathleen was a loving wife and mother, a feisty grandmother and an adoring friend to all she loved. Whether Kathy was creating jewelry, painting, rock hunting, sewing or chatting up a storm she brought a lot of energy and creativity no matter where she traveled.
She was survived by: her husband of Eight years, Keith Walkup of Chandler, AZ; Daughter, Lauren Roseman and Grandsons, Kiefer and Kieran of Mesa, AZ; Step daughter, Mariah Gilgert and Step Grandsons, Austen and Hunter of Arizona City; her Sister, Teresa Rose Moore of Covington Indiana. As well as numerous Nephews and Nieces. Proceeding her in death were her parents Joseph and Bette Puskac.
A private family memorial services will be held at a later date.
