"Belle" was a member of one of the earliest settlers in the county and was not a stranger to hard work and the courageous pioneer spirit of her parents and siblings. Her father James Gideon Green was a Confederate Soldier(wounded). Belle was given her mothers name at birth "Arabella"

Copy Obit: "Mrs. McDaniel Dies; Funeral Is Tomorrow PERRY Funeral services for Mrs. Bell Green McDaniel. 69, who died yesterday, will be held at 3 p.m. tomorrow In the Mt. Carmel Freewill Baptist Church, the Rev. Felix Parker, the Rev. Herman Grubbs and the Rev. Franklin Carlton officiating. Burial will be in Carlton Cemetery. Mrs. McDaniel died at her home near here after a long illness. A native of Taylor County, she was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church. Survivors Include her husband, Samuel E. McDaniel of Perry; one son, J. L. McDaniel of Perry; seven daughters, Mrs. Nina Bell Grubbs. Mrs. Ruby Grubbs, Mrs. Lucille Parker. Mrs. Audrey Johnson and Mrs. Eunice Israel, all of Perry; Mrs. Vera Wooten of Tallahassee, and Mrs. Myrtle Woods of Jessup, Ga.; 23 grandchildren and one great grandchild Arrangements are being handled by Joe P. Burns Funeral Home."
