"Mrs. Rachel C Foltz 81, died yesterday morning at the home of her granddaughters, Miss Wilda and Miss Arlene Anderson, 307 East Sixth, after a brief illness. Born in Illinois December 16, 1861, she moved to Brooks County, Kansas, when eighteen years old, where she lived until coming to Topeka in 1916. She was a member of the Kansas Avenue Methodist Church.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs Mary McCue, Los Angeles (my great-grandmother), Mrs. Doris Hite, Abilene, Mrs. Olive Kaley and Mrs. Tena Townslee, Topeka' one son, George Anderson, Petaluma, Calif.; eighteen grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.
The body was taken to the Peebler Funeral Home."

Note: 1st husband - John Colwell Anderson - buried in Green Mound Cemetery, Rooks Co. KS (has her name on his headstone but she isnt buried there) 2nd husband - George W Foltz buried in Hill City KS Cemetery (she is not there). She is buried with her son in Topeka, Kansas.
David, Benjamin R. Anderson is buried in Hillcrest, lot 438, space 3, Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Topeka, Kansas. Rachel C. Foltz 1861-1943, is next to him to the North, Hillcrest, 438, space 2. There are no other"Anderson" or "Boller" markers in the immediate area of lot 438. (ceb)
