William was born in Harrisville, Michigan on May 29, 1935 to William Deller and Mabel (Brown) Deller and attended Harrisville schools, graduating in 1955. He served in the Military Airborne 101st 1956-1958 and then played baseball with the Boston Red Sox organization for 2 years. On August 18, 1962 he married the love of his life, Anne Marie Badder, at St. Catherine Catholic Church is Ossineke. They had just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Bill attended Delta College Trade School and retired from Local 85 (pipefitters) of Saginaw in 1993.
Bill and Anne wintered in Florida for 23 years, and Bill made many friends wherever he went. He was hard working, always helping others, loved fixing up the old cub cadet tractors he collected, and taking he Camero Iroc to car shows. Bill went to Tiger baseball games with his son, Greg, raced snowmobiles for 35 years professionally, like NASCAR #24, and was a loyal Michigan State fan. He played County League Baseball since age 12 – Harrisville-Lincoln-Ossineke-and Hubbard Lake.
Mr. Deller was a member of V.F.W. and the Alpena Hall of Fame. The special things for him were to be with family on birthdays, holidays, and get-togethers, fish fries, and trips with his wife. He was an avid deer hunter.
Surviving included his wife, Anne; 2 daughters, Cindy (Neil) Bellmore of Alpena, Dr. Julie Deller of West Virginia; 1 son, Greg (Lynn) Kirchoff of Herron; a grandson, Greg Kirchoff of Celebration, Florida; a sister in law, Judy Decaire of Clio; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were a son, William Jon; 1 sister, Dorothea LaLonde; 3 brothers, Kenneth, Clifford, Elmer; and a brother-in-law, Charlie Decaire in 2012.
