Mildred was the daughter of Larkin Winfield and Elizabeth Zelphia (Williams) Cable. She married Robert Stoneman Smith Sr. in 1938 and they were the parents of three sons: Harvey Daniel, James Clifton and Robert Stoneman Jr.

MRS. MILDRED C. HOLLIDAY

Mrs. Mildred Cable Holliday, 69, of Route 3, Randleman, died this morning at Moses Cone Hospital.
The body is at Hanes-Lineberry Vanstory Street Funeral Home pending completion of arrangement.
A native of Rockingham County, she was a member of Level cross Baptist church and the Young at heart club.
Survivors include husband, Robert S. Holliday of the home; sons, Harvey Daniel Holliday and James Clifton Holliday, both of Route 3, Randleman, and Robert S. Holliday Jr. of Route 1, Randleman; sisters, Mrs. Nellie Williams of Kernersville and Mrs. Adele Caudle of Greensboro; brothers, William Cable and Edgar Cable both of Greensboro, Harvey Cable and Robert Cable, both of Randleman; and nine grandchildren.
Memorial gifts maybe made to the American Cancer Society.
