OLD- TIME RESIDENT PASSES ON
Another of Mojave's old time residents has gone to his reward in the person of Walter Albert Touchstone, who was born April 10,1870 at Atlanta, Georgia.
A resident of Mojave for 21 years, Mr.Touchstone was employed as a brakeman on the railroad until his retirement. in 1937. Far from being a well man for the past few years, he finally succumbed to the ravages this ailment and died at 3 a.m. on Saturday, October 14th. He leaves his widow, Mrs. Netti Linfield Touchstone, his daughter, Mrs. Mame Etter and son in-law, Mr. Leon Etter.
The funeral was held on Monday afternon at the local ceme- tery with Rev. Floyd Bailey officiating-. O'Donnell Funeral home had charge. Soloist was Mrs. George Hodges who sang two numbers, "The Old Rugged. Cross," and "Goodnight and 'Good Morning." The sympathy of his many friends is extended ________ and those left to mourn his passing.
