SWANSBORO -- Rosemary Canady Dees, 84, formerly of Fremont, died Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013.
Funeral will be Sunday at 3 p.m. at Elmwood Cemetery in Fremont, followed by visitation.
She was a devoted mother, wife and teacher.
She taught high school in Onslow, Wayne, Wilson and Johnston counties in the 1950s through 1970s.
In her later years, she and her husband, Ike, spent several wonderful years managing Ocean Sands Condominiums in Atlantic Beach.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Amelia Smith Canady; her husband, Isaac Dees Jr.; and brothers, James and Edward Canady.
Surviving loved ones, sons, Isaac Dees III of Cape Carteret and Thomas Dees of Swansboro; daughter, Amelia Dees-Killette and husband, David, of Swansboro; sister-in-law, Betty Canady; special first cousin, Anne Shuller, and family; and other special cousins, nieces and nephews.
