Greentown – James M. Achor, 80, died Sunday, January 6, 2013, in Indiana University Medical Hospital, Indianapolis. He was born in Swayzee, Indiana on January 25, 1932 to the late Hubert N. and Pauline (McGibbon) Achor. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served in Korea. James married Maxine A. White on April 27, 1958 and she survives. He was a farmer and drove a school bus for 28 years for Oak Hill United School Corporation. He was known as "a people person" and enjoyed working at Wal-Mart as a greeter for 11 years. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, and traveling.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Maxine Achor, Marion; children, Brian (Cindy) Achor, Somerset, Christine (Dennis) Clair, Greentown, Corinne (Jeff) McKinney, Converse; brother, Ronnie (Joani) Achor, Sweetser; sister, Isabelle (James) McGraw, SC; grandchildren, Derek (Amber) Achor, Danielle (Cole) Reyburn, Lee Clair, Jeremy Clair, Aaron Clair, Alexa McKinney, Megan (Mark) London, Briana McKinney; and great-grandchild, Myla London.

Visitation will be from 5-8 pm on Friday, January 11, 2013 at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Rybolt Chapel, 314 N. Washington Street, Swayzee, Indiana.

Funeral Service will be at 10 am on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Rybolt Chapel, 314 N. Washington Street, Swayzee, Indiana, with Pastor Carol Mikesell officiating. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory, Huntington County, Indiana.

Memorial donations may be made to Richland Chapel United Methodist Church, 5026 N. 900 W.-27, Converse, IN 46919.
