Aleck Edwards of Thayer died at the St. John's hospital Wednesday October 8th at the age of 70 years 3 months and eighteen days. He was born in Loami June 29, 1843. He leaves to mourn their loss, his wife Belle Edwards of Thayer; three sons John, Will and Lital; two daughters Mary and Lizzie; three brothers Lital of Loami, Alfred of Lowder, Robert of Thayer; and two sisters, Mrs. Martha Adwell of this city, and Mrs. Bessie Flood of Springfield.
The funeral was held at the home of his sister Mrs.Adwell, in this city Friday afternoon, Oct. 10th, at 2 o'clock, Rev. P. H. Aldrich officiating. Interment was in East Cemetery.
